Small loans, straight to M-Pesa.
Niazime is a digital lending app for Kenya. Borrow from KES 1,500 for 20 to 61 days, straight to M-Pesa, at one flat price with no hidden fees. Repay on time and your limit grows.
Your M-Pesa number is your account. No app store needed: it runs in your phone's browser and installs to your home screen, or download the Android app.
What it costs, in one line
A KES 1,500 loan for 20 days: you receive KES 1,155 in M-Pesa and repay KES 1,500 on day 20. Interest KES 345, taken before the money is sent. Effective annual rate, all costs: 420%.
First loan 20 days: 23% Β· 40 days: 38% Β· 61 days: 48%; 17% / 29% / 38% after one loan repaid on time; 14% / 24% / 33% after three.
Everyone starts at KES 1,500. Your limit doubles as your repaid loans earn it, up to what your own M-Pesa statement supports.
Once you confirm, the money is sent to your M-Pesa line, usually within minutes. Repay by Paybill or with one tap in the app.
No contacts, no photos, no location. We score you from your own M-Pesa statement and a few questions.
How a loan works
Verify your number and ID. A one-time code to your M-Pesa line, a KES 1 M-Pesa prompt we send straight back, and your National ID checked with the registry.
Upload your M-Pesa statement. Request it from M-Pesa, upload the PDF, answer a short questionnaire. Your limit is set from what the statement shows.
Choose amount and days. The screen shows exactly what you receive and what you repay before you confirm with your PIN.
Money lands in M-Pesa. Repay through the Paybill with your loan ID as the account number, or with one tap in the app. Every payment comes off the balance.
